A Branch County man has been sentenced to 45 to 90 years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls, aged 11 and 12, and providing them with methamphetamine.
During a November jury trial in Branch County Circuit Court, 47-year-old Anthony Cuyler, of Union City, was found guilty of three counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and one count of delivering methamphetamine to a minor.
Cuyler was extradited from Mexico in April 2024 to face charges stemming from an investigation that began in 2019.
He fled the state and was on the run for years before Mexican authorities apprehended him and returned him to Michigan.
The U.S. Marshals Service helped extradite him as part of Operation Survivor Justice, a partnership to find and bring back fugitives accused of sexual crimes.
