The Fayette Township Planning Commission will hold a special meeting this evening to hear public comment on a site plan for a 1,350-acre solar farm.
Ranger Power filed an application for the Heartwood II Solar Project, which, if approved, would be installed on private property between Hillsdale and Jonesville.
The plan has received pushback from township residents, as well as others from outside the area, who oppose the project.
Turnout for previous meetings has been very high.
Tonight’s public hearing is expected to be well-attended. It will get underway at 7:00 pm in Jonesville High School Cafetorium.
