Jonesville Announces 2026 Citizens of the Year

The Jonesville City Council has announced the names of the 2026 Citizens of the Year and Youth Citizen of the Year.
This year’s honorees include Trinity Bird, Ann Johnson, Don Toffolo, and Ryder Cornett.
Trinity Bird has been the Executive Director of The Sauk Theatre since 2015. He has been involved with the theater for many years, directing plays and musicals. Trinity has helped the theater grow and supports local artists. He is also the President Nominee of the Jonesville Rotary Club.

Ann Johnson was born and raised in Jonesville. She has been active with the Grosvenor House Museum since 2009, managing donations and leading tours of the historic Victorian home. Ann has dedicated years to preserving the town’s history and caring for the mansion.
Don Toffolo is a local business owner and father of Jonesville students. He was recognized for his leadership in the community. He is the president of the Jonesville Business Association and has helped organize events like Riverfest and Christmas in Jonesville. Don also works to support downtown development and local businesses.
Ryder Cornett, a senior at Jonesville High School, was named Youth Citizen of the Year. He is a leader in school clubs and fundraising efforts. Ryder is active in Future Farmers of America, competing in events and leading local projects. He hopes to continue serving as a state FFA officer after graduation.
The winners will be honored at an award ceremony on Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at The Sauk Theatre. The public is invited to the celebration. Tickets for the ceremony are $5 and can be purchased at Jonesville City Hall. Nominations are accepted year-round; visit www.jonesvillemi.gov for more information.
